Spring (March to May)
Many golfers' favourite time. Warm, sunny days, green courses and comfortable temperatures for walking. It's also peak season, so tee times and hotels fill up early.
Summer (June to August)
Hot. Courses are quieter and often cheaper, but play early in the morning or late in the afternoon, take plenty of water and use a buggy.
Autumn (September to November)
The second peak season. The sea is still warm, the heat eases off through October, and the long evenings are perfect after a round. Book well ahead.
Winter (December to February)
Mild compared with the UK, with plenty of playable days, but more rain and shorter daylight. A good choice if you want quieter courses and value for money. Pack a waterproof.
Our advice
- For the best weather, aim for April, May, October or early November.
- Travelling in peak season? Book tee times and transfers as early as you can.
