Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Belek: Colin Montgomerie's championship course

The Montgomerie Maxx Royal is one of the big championship courses of Belek, and the home of the Maxx Royal Belek resort.

The course

The course was designed by Colin Montgomerie with European Golf Design, on land that used to be forest. Sandy waste areas come into play on a few holes, and the course is known for its excellent condition.

It hosted the first Turkish Airlines Open on the European Tour in 2013, and several more editions since. The layout has an unusual balance of six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s.
